Bill Hwang clearly did not imagine that some MM could eventually guess all his positions and trade against him.
Anyway, one person can hype stocks such as viac and vips to such high levels, that manipulation is quite outrageous.

How about thinking the world this way? The X country printed a lot of money, they built roads, airports, high speed railway, etc. Mostly the money was wasted, and the people need to work hard like slaves, or 996. People have a lot of debt, the country changes from a so called saving country to a debt country.
The US printed a lot of money, money eventually came to the stock market, stock prices were high. Then, the market collapsed, it's like much money was burned to ash. Then, they print money again, and the stock market recovers.

I read news about Archegos, without specific purposes. In one article, it was said Credit Suisse lost nearly $5billion while other banks were doing so well, especially, jef nearly doubled its revenue in the first quarter. I thought this was interesting. jef already reported earnings at the end of last month, but its price has dropped since about 3 weeks. It earned $2.13 the 1st quarter, the share price was only about $30, although this is much higher than last year. But clearly for me, it's worth buying, and so I did in the morning.

So, basically, it doesn't go alone, it has to follow such peers as gs/ms which will report earnings next week.

The market is strong while some people think(or wish) it will fall.

The producer price index for final demand jumped 1.0% last month after increasing 0.5% in February, the Labor Department said on Friday. In the 12 months through March, the PPI surged 4.2%. That was the biggest year-on-year rise since September 2011 and followed a 2.8% advance in February.

Clearly, for last two weeks, if you don't own some heavy weights such as aapl, fb, amzn, hd, etc, the market is tough.

The love story between Wall Street and big techs has no ending while some other areas have good value but are ignored. For example. CVS looks good, I believe they make some money by administering vaccine shots. Wba, its peer, performs better, maybe because it's a Dow Jones component. But why can wba become one of Dow 30?
