appl looks good now. But how to do it? not much cash to buy. which calls to buy?

consumers and advertisers spent more than $600 billion through apps last year.

According to the study, the $643 billion generated through iPhone and iPad apps in 2020 is made up of:

$511 billion from sales of physical goods and services through apps, including $383 billion from retail apps, $38 billion through travel apps, and $36 billion from food delivery and pickup
$86 billion from digital goods and services
$46 billion from in-app advertising

Took some actions based on this idea. But tech drops while the broad market performs well. How to construe this?

I don't like this kind of rumors because individuals cannot know what will happen. But if this is true, that's good news for banks because there is no tax rate hike for them, but bad for techs.
Still, it's unclear whether this applies to oversea profits.
Anyway, I would behave like there is no news.

The tax proposal is not new, but the newspaper said the administration was willing to temporarily set aside its proposal to hike the corporate tax rate to 28% as it negotiates the infrastructure bill.

Amazon, Qualcomm and Micron were among stocks that fell Thursday after a report said the Biden administration is pushing for a tax change that would require companies to pay a minimum tax rate of 15%.

That was a nice timing to buy calls. We'll see what happens in the next several weeks.

I think oil is marching toward +$100/barrel.

Energy stocks explode today with oil and gas going new highs in this year. But spy going down is not a good sign for the market in the near future.

Energy stocks are in an interesting position. Should we assume oil can reach $100+/barrel this year? Inflation is real, especially when Fed already claims it won't tighten before 2023. Oil is the ultimate inflation barometer, I think.

Oh, inflation, I dont' think Wall Street is scared of it, they may even welcome it. That's how I see the market now. In another word, it's not surprising that commodities and stocks will be pushed higher.

Traveling since a week. Not many trades have been made. Nothing new to say. I have only 2% in cash.
Market is good.
My tentative position in bidu seems to be good.
Energy works.
Solar is volatile, overall, it works.
Reducing financials at the beginning of the month. Should have reduced more. But they are volatile because of stress test and buybacks. They will not be so stupid to buy their own shares at the highest prices, period!
Etc.
